Two Birds and a House

The rite that brings a healed person back. Two live birds, cedar wood, scarlet and hyssop: one killed over fresh water, the other dipped in its blood and released — the scapegoat in miniature. Then the chapter turns to houses, and the translations come apart: KJV, ASV and YLT say leprosy in a house, WEB says a spreading mildew. A word that covers skin, cloth and masonry is a classification, not a diagnosis.
