Bring It Near

Exodus ends with a tent Moses cannot enter. Leviticus opens with God calling to him out of it, and the book is largely an answer to the problem the last chapter created. The word for what you bring is qorban, from the verb to draw near — YLT alone keeps the verb visible. This chapter covers the olah, the offering that goes up: entirely consumed on the altar, with nothing returned to anyone.
