A short chapter with one extraordinary sentence in it. The craftsmen stop working, come to Moses, and report that the people are bringing more than the job needs — and Moses has to proclaim through the camp to make them stop. It is the only recorded instance in the Bible of a religious collection being closed because it had succeeded. The rest repeats Exodus 26 almost clause for clause, and that repetition is where the book’s largest textual problem sits.
